Vinny Tufano's 1929 Ford Pickup
(click the image to go back)
After coating the entire body with Tamaya gloss black
paint, Vinny dusted a few light coats of Testors Dullcoat
on the top to give it a very nice textured appearance,
simulating fine cloth. For the wooden bed floor, he used
a real mahogony veneer that he purchased from Micro Mark.
Red stripes down the bed rails nicely accent the truck's
appearance.
Vinny's care in using only vintage parts for the buildup
resulted in a fine representation of nicely-done hot rod
from the 1950's. He's really looking foward to showing
this model at our upcoming NNL because he's made himself
very happy with it. Isn't that what our hobby is ultimately
all about?
