Charlie Magers' replica of his own 1969
Chevelle

Charlie gave the molded-on emblems a delicate appearance
by foiling them prior to painting the car and allowing
the paint to rub through to the foil as he polished the
body. Speaking of paint, he used Dupli-color Garnet Red.
He also used a length of guitar string to make the radio
antenna. Charlie did deviate somewhat from making an exact
replica when he used photo-reduced license plates from
his daily driver. This minor discrepancy is easy to overlook,
as they are Maryland Chevelle Club plates.
