On the left side we find Dick Landy's 1965 Dodge Coronet
depicted with it's original single-headlight configuration,
but after it's Landy-built 426 Hemi engine was switched
from burning gas through a pair of Holley carburetors
to a blend of nitromethane and alcohol through Hilborn
fuel injectors with long intake-ram tubes. Here you can
also see the simple roll cage that was common at the time
and the American mags with M&H Racemaster rear slicks.
Landy pushed this car into the low-9s at 150-plus mph
after switching from a Hurst-shifted A833 four-on-the-floor
transmission to an A727 Torqueflight automatic.
