Ron Roberts' Parts Box Willys

(click the image to go back)

Here's where Ron's racer really started: He'd seen the Pontiac 250 cubic inch straight six engine from a 1969 Firebird kit lying in his partsbox time and time again. One day he decided it was time to stop looking at it and do something with it. Built pretty much as MPC originally intended, Ron added a velocity stack to the carb and an aluminum dump tube to the exhaust header.

Ron did all the chassis, motor, and other detail painting with a variety of Testors hobby paints.
