Starting with the November 2003 meeting, MAMA meetings will run from 11am to 3pm.

Several factors played roles in the decision to change our hours, including:

• The Greenbelt Community Center (GCC) will no longer be unlocking the Multi-Purpose Room until our scheduled time slot starts.
• Several of us had long been arriving before the old official time of 12 noon to set up tables and chairs.
• Most of us are cleared out of the room by 3pm anyway (so we already were using the room from 11am to 3pm, unofficially).

GCC's new unlocking policy is ostensibly intended to reduce vandalism. Those in authority at GCC have assured us that they want to continue the long-standing good working relationship we've built with them over the years and have been flexible in accommodating our needs.

So keep on coming to the meetings at GCC, just don't arrive before 11am.
